The cocktails are innovative, innocuously strong, yet subtle. The scallops have the perfect seared crust, without being over cooked. The steaks are cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth. The spinach loaf is a must have appetizer. Having been to dozens of restaurants in the area (including all the other high end ones) there’s simply NO competition. From catering our wedding (cue dozens of comments about the best wedding meal ever), to holidays, to dinners with friends, to just a night out on town, Oliver’s hits it on the money. Delicious, well balanced, classic meals with adventurous and scrumptiously creative concoctions interspersed throughout. From front of house to the back of house (let’s be real, their executive chef is running a Michelin level operation), everything is always on point. Thank you Oliver's for making our two year anniversary that much more special.Ĭannot say enough great things about what is EASILY the best restaurant in the area. Definitely revisiting based on the experience and feeling like my money was earned/well spent. I really appreciate the initiative as far as service and quality at this establishment. We were even offered three different types of water (bottled, sparkling or tap). The waiter which I believe his name was Dave was very attentive and the epitome of helpful in asking questions while embodying a charisma required for the role that he has been employed for.įood portions were great and the way the cuisine was prepared was top tier. The wine list is quite extensive and the selection of food was eclectic concurrent to being able to touch anyone's pellets. Tablecloth as well as tableware were practically brand new and clean. The wait staff are dressed to the impress and the table was set up like they were expecting us.

The ambiance of this location is completely exceptional. After that there is a podium where a hostess expeditiously checks for your reservations and seats you immediately.

Once entering the building there is a coat check in the foyer area if you chose to utilize that option. Addition taking the initiative to do the same for the door to the establishment and followed suit in the same manner on the exiting portion of the establishment while offering to take a picture of us for our memories hence earning gratuity when it was all set and done. The valet gentleman was very inviting/ well mannered & even opened the doors for my lady and I to get out the car. Moving forward, upon arriving there was valet car service. which was user friendly online and easily confirmed through my email as well as cell phone via text. So, rightfully so I made reservations for 8:00 p.m. After browsing I remembered every time being at the intersection of Amherst and Delaware- my lady stating that I've never taken her there. I was perusing online destinations to cater to my lady for the evening. Yesterday was our two year engagement anniversary. I’d recommend checking out this place for a nice meal and strongly encourage reservations. They offer complementary valet service as well which we definitely took advantage of. The dessert though was divine and since it was her birthday they comped for a dessert and she chose the Jameson tiramisu, which really was amazing. There were small things that somewhat deflated the other wise great dining experience, including not having enough steak knives for both of us at the start of our meals (ever try using a butter knife to cut a steak, lol) and being served the wrong steaks (they swapped our medium and medium well steaks, so my partner just thought they messed up out right and ate about a 1/3 before vocalizing something). We both ordered the New York strip steak with mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts ($48) and enjoyed it.įor an appetizer, we got the rock shrimp and calamari ($13) which was served in a really delicious glaze. Possibly because looking out on Chippewa you see all kinds of commotion happening. Went for a birthday dinner with my partner and the ambience was more casual than I expected to be.
